2025 MOBO Awards: Nigerian Celebrity Stylist Praised for Creativity

Nigerian celebrity stylist Toyin Lawani, founder of Tiannah’s Place Empire, gets praised for her creativity at the 2025 MOBO Awards for the stunning dress worn by the Jamaican dancehall singer Grace Latoya Hamilton, popularly known as Spice.
Mrs. Lawani created the beautiful blue dress worn by Spice during her performance with her dancers at the MOBO event on Tuesday, February. 18, 2025. She received a shout-out from the artist regarding her creativity.
The MOBO Awards 2025, which is the 27th edition of the MOBO Awards, took place on February 18, 2025, at the Utilita Arena in Newcastle, England. It is in honour of the achievements of music of black origin.
Mrs Lawani’s work made rounds on social media, and while many people praised her creativity, some suggested improvements to the dress.
“This is so nice, but she’s known for a bright blue; this is too dark and different from her style,” Favour_e_world suggested in a comment.
While Denrele_edun commented, “one of one. Number one, the ONLY ONE! The best part is that I love the way SPICE hypes you kpá! E come be like say na KOF be the Artiste here! She has the utmost regard and respect for your Artistry and I love to see it.”
The gorgeous dress featured mesh and rhinestones, revealing her chest and part of her thighs, while flowing down to the ground. Spice adored her outfit and thanked Tiannah during the award ceremony.
